I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. My research areas include applied microeconomics and labour economics, with a focus on the economics of education, development economics and economic history. I use tools from these disciplines to better understand the persistence of socioeconomic inequalities between groups. My dissertation focusses on how these issues pertain to Indigenous peoples in both Canada and the United States.
I am on the job market this year and will be available for interviews at the CEEE meetings in Toronto in December 2017, and the AEA/ASSA meetings in Philadelphia in January 2018. I can be reached via email at maggie.ec.jones [at] gmail.com.
