I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and a faculty fellow at the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society at the University of Victoria in British Columbia. I am fortunate to live and work in the territory of the Lkwungen (Songhees), Wyomilth (Esquimalt), and WS’ANEC’ (Saanich) peoples.
My research areas include labour, education, and history. I use tools from these disciplines to better understand the persistence of socioeconomic inequalities between groups with a particular focus on skill accumulation and discrimination. I can be reached via email at maggie.ec.jones [at] gmail.com.
